General Full-Frame R6 & R7 Writing To Second Card
Several other mounts also work that way. My first SLR in 1966 was a Pentax H3v that did. My Canon Digital Rebel took some getting used to but now it seems correct. Canon R7 R7 and High ISO
We waited patiently for our R7 to arrive and seemed to have nothing but time and good weather. In the nearly two weeks since the R7 arrived, life has been busy and skies gray at best and pouring on occasion. This is life as we know it. If I were a bird near me, I'd move.- dougsmit

Is it a worry?
I would suggest using your old, expendable Digital Rebel and kit lens. The limiting factor in the dust storm will not be the megapixels or lens quality but the dust which will not allow sharp focus more than a few feet away and will pit the front element or filter, if you have one, before you... -

No. If I had known I was going to see dragonflies when I went out, I might have taken a monopod but Those were just test snaps trying to become familiar with the R7 buttons. The idea was to shoot unimportant things so I might have a better chance the next time I see something I want to shoot.- dougsmit

I agree. I have even had some R7 Topaz Sharpen AI images that lost sharpness at the default settings. In particular, it seems to treat some eye pattern detail as noise and eliminate it. I have never done a stack over 100 and my poor focus rail would hardly allow that many advances on something this size. I would suggest making your first attempt something a great deal smaller (maybe 20) shot at a smaller aperture so there is more overlap. The automated focus bracketing...- dougsmit
