    Travel  Berlin Cathedral

We just returned from a week in Berlin and Munich. The weather was beautiful our first night in Berlin so we stayed out and I had the opportunity to photograph some of the better known buildings at night. This was the first photo I edited after getting the photos into Lightroom Classic this morning.

    London Underground

I’ve always wanted to create this type of photo but where I live, we don’t have subways. Being in London gave me the opportunity to get the photo and have some fun in Photoshop. Definitely a different kind of vacation photo.

    Space Coasthenge

On Sunday, September 17, the rising sun would be directly between the east and westbound bridges of the causeway. What I couldn’t foresee was Hurricane Lee and all the clouds and haze that storm would bring to the US east coast. Back to the planner for the next opportunity and hope for clear skies.

    What Once Was….

This week’s 52 Frames challenge was black and white minimal. I really wanted to get down to the water to be more level with the pier. But, it’s a steep climb down a rocky slope and no beach or flat area. That will be a challenge for another day when I have someone there to keep an eye on me and...

Eau Gallie Art District, Melbourne FL

I needed a night photo for this week’s 52 Frames challenge. We endured the evening Florida humidity and went to the Eau Gallie Art District in Melbourne, FL yesterday after sunset. The EGAD, as it’s called here, it a fun couple blocks with a lot of places for local artists. There’s also some...

    Sunrise with my daughter

My daughter was home for a couple weeks. She lives England where she’s finishing her masters degree and has decided to get a graduate visa, a job and start looking into PhD programs there. We don’t get to see her too much so having her home these last two weeks has been great. On Saturday she...

I’m better with a camera and Photoshop than I am with brushes and paints.

I’d been trying to come up with something for this sunrise photo all week. I took this on Monday, enjoyed doing a long exposure shot, but when I was done in Lightroom, it just didn’t feel done. It needed more and more is Photoshop. I’m still very new to Photoshop but picking things up. I...

    Birds  Blue Cypress Lake

Arrived before sunrise to spend a few hours admiring the owls and osprey on Blue Cypress Lake near Vero Beach, FL. Definitely one of my favorite places for wildlife but the early morning sunrises on the lake are also incredible. I know this is the bird forum, but since it was on this bird...

    Eiffel Tower

We were in Paris at the end of March. Beautiful city. It was my first real go with the R7 and 18-150. I wanted to travel light for this trip and this R7 combo really was that. Although, I did find myself wanting something wider so hopefully Canon makes good on a RF-S 10-22mm. That, with the R7...

    Orlando (FL) Wetlands with R5 & 16mm f/2.8

I always put the 16mm f/2.8 in my bag if I’m not taking the 14-35. It’s pretty much invisible in there so why not. I decided to mount it to the R5 last weekend while checking out the new boardwalk at the Orlando Wetlands. It’s great to have this flexibility without the weight when primarily...
