Canon R5 R5 Cold Weather Difficulties

What memory card are you using: make, series speed, where did you buy it? once the card can be eliminated from the problem then you can investigate other areas that may be responsible. How long, if at all, was the body without a lens attached while you were outside? The lens fogging I can...

CF Express Cards - For beginners.

Not strictly a RF question. I also have a Canon M6 Mk2, I need a high speed card for it. My RF uses a CF card, backed up with a Sony Tough G 32GB. This Tough card works well in my M6 This is the question; Is the Sony Tough G (300 read 299 write) overkill for the M6? The Sony M (277 read 150...

    Counterfeit LP-E6NH

Whatever camera I have I always by spares from UK based eBay sellers, the cheapest I can find. I never have a problem. In fact, I have one genuine Canon battery for my M6 that doesn't wok correctly. The camera reports it as fake and I have to agree, then it works, I have some cheap batteries...

    Canon R5 Am I a traitor to my R5?

I'm going to suggest your occupation to a pro I know in the UK. Are you getting shots. At delivery or just after?

    Canon R5 Am I a traitor to my R5?

if I only took my M6 I could have packed it in with my clothing luggage. My camera case looks like a piece of military equipment, security wanted to have a peek all the time. Some years back a was on holiday with a canon SLR and a Canon IXUS 255 HS, still got it. 100 pictures on the SLR, almost...

    Canon R5  Am I a traitor to my R5?

Last November I went on holiday on a Dahabiya down the Nile. I took my R5 plus 24-240 zoom, Canon M6 Mk2 and 3 lenses. First few days used my R5 exclusively soon realised carrying 1.5 kilos plus the associated bag and paraphernalia in 30+ deg heat was not well planned. The remainder of my...

Photoshop for less than £28 inc liftime key on DVD

Your post reflects the reason why I posted in the first place. Yes, it is too good to be true. When you look at the suppliers Facebook page it's uncomfortably barren. Fortunately I'm not desperate to have this software, and not greedy enough to overlook the pitfalls. If I had a computer not...

Photoshop for less than £28 inc liftime key on DVD

My thoughts exactly. All I can think of is this is legitimate but it does not come with updates, as the subscription version will. If they have this offer every year, buying it with updates once a year is still way cheaper than pay per month

What is not in the picture

There were more cars visible through the fence, bit of cloning of the grass hid them. Looking at that scene from any other angle all you would see is road, car park a bit of post and rail fence

What is not in the picture

I don't have PS. I use editing tools; GIMP, DPP, Darklight, and the thing windows 10 has built-in. You could say they are all basic editors, compared to PS, but then I'm not interested in swapping the sky ,or turning the street lights on in a fake night shot. That sort of manipulation is not...

What is not in the picture

I agree. And thanks for your comments With careful composition and a little help with post work it is possible to make something out of nothing. At the time of taking the picture I had plenty of time to compose and positioning the gate was part of it. Even so, I overlooked the car head light...

    RF 24-240mm as an All-Purpose Walk-Around?

I have been hand holding the 24-240mm at night for 1/3 second. Looks fine on a 9in tablet zoomed in. The combined IS works wonders.

Front of lens protection filters. Buy cheap or expensive?

I also like their tree planting scheme. Their tin filter case with the screw on lid is the best packing I've seen and it is recyclable

Front of lens protection filters. Buy cheap or expensive?

I invested in Urth UV fileters for 2 RF lenses filters and a polarising filter for my RF24 - 240 I cannot see any difference with the UVs on or off. I've taken a few shots with the poloriser and can see the clouds when framing a shot better than without, not looked at the pics on my monitor yet

    RF 24-240mm as an All-Purpose Walk-Around?

I have the R5, RF 24-240' and RF 100 macro. Don't plan to get any other lens. My type of photography doesn't warrant more. I also have the M6 Mk2 with 2 lenses as back up and when I'm in crowded places or when I don't want to stand out. Just insured that lot, minus the 100 macro, for holiday...
