    Purple Leaf Plum Booms

Thanks @Hali - I am suspecting that a good ratio of close-focus and relative distance to the background elements really helped. This lens can be very surprising and I get more impressed with it the more it's used.

    Purple Leaf Plum Booms

Thank you. I agree with the feedback - I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this image. I took several frames with different settings and this was by far the best version. The fact that it was so unexpected on the 24-105 made it really nice.

Is anyone here shooting with R5/Sigma 60-600mm like me?

Thanks for the very detailed reply, @Tappa. Your approach has been methodical and makes great sense. As with most things, it's usually a combination of factors that contribute to issues and mitigations are also likely to involve a combination of actions. You did mention one factor I had...

Is anyone here shooting with R5/Sigma 60-600mm like me?

@Tappa, nice photos and glad everything seems to be working well for you. I have only just started looking into options for super-telephoto option, but from a value perspective the Sigma's (e.g., 60-600, 150-600) are on my evaluation list, along with the Canon RF100-500. I've seen more than one...

    People  Self Portrait

One of the best aspects of being a photography hobbyist is that I get to spend my time behind the camera, not in front if it. ;) Yet, even with that cloak of protection there are times where I need to actually have a self portrait taken. It has been several (and I mean several) years since I...

    Hello from South TX

welcome! have the eos r6 personally, and have been using the rf 35mm f/1.8 a lot along with the rf 24-105mm f/4.0 - both great lenses. i'm looking to add the rf 50mm f/1.8 soon, as well.

    newbie in phoenix

yep, same internal discussion. i would love the r5 but being honest i couldn't justify the extra cost and megapixels. from what i've observed with the r6 thus far, i am very pleased with my decision to go with the r6, and i think you will be too. it's great camera - full stop. i'm looking...
