Canon R5 Firmware Update for EF Lens?

I am in the process of updating my equipment....I have update the R5 and my RF100-500 lens...I don't see a option to update my EF lens on the R5 with the adapter on...am I missing something

No...I would like to update my old EF lenses...I went to the Canon site and checked on the firmware for my old lens....looks like there isn't any for those lens....that may be why it isn't showing up in the menu....

I may be wrong but as far as I am aware EF lenses do not have software that can be updated.

Not often, but there are firmware updates for certain Canon EF lenses. To find out go to the Canon Support page for the specific lens in question. Updated my EF 100-400mm Mk II late last year.

Thanks, useful info - I was not aware of that. I've just found v1.0.7 for my EF 100-400mm MkII.
