I picked the hobby around 7 years ago and in all this time I have managed to shot more than 38000 pictures mostly of birds and nature.

I started with a Nikon 5200 DSLR but when Sony released a mirrorless camera I jumped and got the Sony a6000, then after a while the Sony a7r II and in the last year or two I have been using the Sony a7r III.

A month ago I bought the Canon EOS R7 with a 18-150 and the RF100-400.

Why did I switched from Sony to Canon (specifically the R7)?
1- I was shooting in my full frame Sony a7r III mostly in crop mode to get more reach and on top of that I was using a Sigma 100-400 which is a very sharp and with a very fast AF.
2- The AF of the Canon entry level cameras is comparable only to the Sony A1 which will cost you more than $6000.

When I started to see the reviews talking about the R7 I was really impressed with everything described so in the first opportunity I had I bought it.

So far I'm very impressed with the camera and the two lenses I got. I'm seeing more keepers in my pictures even in the kit lens. Canon AF is by far the best I have used.
