Hello from a couple of years ago; that is I joined some time ago but just now found this Welcome Posts.

I live in South Florida on the east coast. My main line of interest appears to be landscape and wildlife. For the past 4 years or so I have shot the sunrise at the beach every morning. If you look at my Facebook page, Frank Stellitano each one is posted there. I post each shot whether fantastic or not; it is more like a daily report shot.

I have been into photography for around 10 years now, maybe more. I started with digital and I am 69 years old. In fact, my first camera was the very first Canon Digital Rebel which was the first sub $1,000 DSLR. I am still using Canon equipment.

Hello back at ya! Being in California, I can't shoot sunrise at the beach. And I can't shoot the sunset very often because I live 2 hours from the beach. All of which is just to say I'm jealous. ;)

I think there's a statue* of limitations on this particular sub. I think after a certain number of posts you're no longer considered a noob and we don't have to be nice to you anymore. :p

*yes, I know it's "statute".

Thanks for the welcome folks. Although I lived in Carlsbad, California for a couple of years, I did not shoot back then. All my money went to surfboards; there was no money left for cameras so no sunsets either. From this morning.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
