I've been shooting with the R5 for about 6 months now. I love the camera.

In addition to wildlife shooting I do astro photography, hooking my camera up to a telescope.

I recently picked up a Daystar Quark solar filter and tried to image the sun. I set the R5 camera to manual (my normal setting for wildlife), but the shutter refused to trip.

Does the R5 need to be connected to a lens with an electronic interface to work? Or am I missing something...

Thanks in advance,

Bryan Wilburn

I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
