Was photographing a SWAT training at a local National Guard base and decided to try to stop a bullet with the 1/64000 shutter speed and 30fps. Managed to capture one. The 195fps was going to be my next attempt but the timing of the rifle shots was to sporadic. Here are three crops of the image. I also liked the gas trails coming out of the muzzle. R3, RF 70-200mm f2.8 1/64000 f2.8 and ISO 5000

WOW! Have to wonder what f/stop and ISO for that shutter speed. Doesn't look to noisy either.

Nice Capture. If you like capturing projectiles in flight you can actually see, with the human eye, a .45 ACP shot at night under lights at a range. The copper jacket lights up well when the range lights are coming from the rear and above. Since you can see this with the human eye, I think a photo could capture this quite clearly. As a Range Officer, I see these quite often when standing slightly behind the shooter and to one side.

Since you were able to capture this rather speedy projectile, I would think that pistol calibers traveling much slower would be less of a challenge and possibly sharper. JMHO ;)

That is pretty amazing. Well done.
