Hi to one and all.

After returning to photography after a very long lay off due to ill health, I treated myself to an R7 and RF 100-400, which I'm very happy with, but still learning some of the settings for the camera.

I am in the market for a replacement for my EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6. I'm looking for a faster lens, not only for general landscapes, but for astrophotography. I have researched and researched and this lens keeps coming and with some very good reviews, and it's the Tamron 11-20mm F2.8 Di III-A RXD.

Does anyone have experience of this lens, especially on the EOS R7 please? Your thoughts and experiences would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Also there is the Sigma 10-18 2.8. I have not used either of these lenses on the R7. I do use the Sigma RFS 18-50 2.8 Dc-DN. Very happy with this lens and R7 combo. The 10-18 2.8 I have read is just as great, RJ

Thank you for your reply RJ.

I am also considered both the Sigma 10-18 F2.8 and the Sigma 18-50 F2.8 and was considering purchasing both as Sigma had them at discount as a twin pack. Having read the reviews on both the Tamron and the Sigma it is a difficult decision, especially when they are the same price.
