Canon R6 Overview
The Canon EOS R6 is a 20MP full-frame mirrorless camera that is aimed at enthusiast photographers and videographers.
It sits below the Canon R5 just like the EOS 6Ds did beneath the 5D DSLRs.

The Canon EOS R6 offers much of the capability of the EOS-1D X III in an enthusiast-level mirrorless body. It’s only a 20MP camera but one that can produce great results across a huge range of photographic challenges. The tendency to overheat if used before shooting video undermines its appeal for people shooting video and stills together, but the footage is best-in-class if you can work around this limitation. A superb photographers’ camera, even if it’s not quite the perfect hybrid model.

The Canon R6 has two memory card slots. Both card slots support UHS-II SD memory cards.
The Canon R6 supports the LP-E6NH battery, which adds 20 per cent more capacity than older LP-E6N batteries, letting you capture (on average) 510 shots on a single charge. Older LP-E6 and LP-E6N batteries are compatible with the R6, although the very fastest shooting rates and in-camera charging are not available when using the LP-E6.
LP-E6NH batteries can be charged in-camera via USB C 3.1, with 5V/1.5A power delivery (PD) capabilities.
The Canon BG-R10 Battery Grip is the official battery grip for the R6.
Yes. The Canon R6 is a full-frame 35mm camera.
The Canon R6 has an RF lens mount and supports Canon RF lenses.
You can use EF lenses on the Canon R6 by using the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R. There is also an EF-EOS R adapter with a control ring built in, a variable ND filter built in and a polarizer built in.
Although the R6 features a dust and water-resistant construction, this cannot completely prevent dust or water droplets from entering the camera. So if you do intend to use the R6 in very wet or dusty environments it’s recommended to use additional protection to keep your camera safe.
