Canon EOS R FAQs
The Canon EOS R has a single memory card slot that supports UHS-II SD memory cards.
The Canon EOS R supports the LP-E6NH battery, which adds 20 per cent more capacity than older LP-E6N batteries. The older LP-E6 and LP-E6N batteries are compatible with the EOS R, but only the LP-E6NH supports in-camera charging.
LP-E6NH batteries can be charged in-camera via USB C 3.1, with 5V/1.5A power delivery (PD) capabilities.
The official battery grip is the Canon BG-E22 Battery Grip. There are also third party battery grips available.
Yes. The Canon EOS R is a full-frame 35mm camera. It’s also the most affordable camera in the EOS R line-up.
The Canon EOS R has an RF lens mount and supports Canon RF lenses.
You can use EF lenses on the Canon EOS R by using the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R. There is also an EF-EOS R adapter with a control ring built in, a variable ND filter built in and a polarizer built in.
Although the camera features a dust and water-resistant construction, this cannot completely prevent dust or water droplets from entering the camera. Therefore if you are using the EOS R in very wet or dusty environments it’s recommended to use additional protection to keep your camera safe.
