Pattern in the background make me think it's not out in the wild. Did you shoot this in B&W or post? The grasses almost look infrared.

Yes, Chester Zoo (we don’t get anything like this here in the wild!). We usually prefer to make our zoo shots look ‘non-Zooey’, but I liked the pose here and had a play with it (I was feeling more than a tad gash after picking up an unpleasant head cold at the zoo, so the distraction was welcome).

It was shot raw (and therefore it started off in colour).

As far as I can recall, having done a light initial edit in LrC, I had a play with the new Tony Kuyper Magic Mixer Panel over in PS and went with one of the basic colour filter options. I quite liked the striking effect on the grass, with the ‘menacing’ black Jaguar centre stage.

The enclosure fencing would usually mark this out for [Delete] but I stuck with it this time.
