It was brilliant to get out with my new Camera field monitor and to spend the afternoon with thirteen years old Vito. Together with Ali and Genie of course. I am so happy to be able to pick up the camera and a finally take some photographs.
Hi Phil, I went for the Viltrox 550 Pro. I watched so many videos of so many different models and the Viltrox seemed to meet all requirements and for a so called "cheap" range. I don't do any video work and it was hard to find one that seemed to stand out for still photographers. I needed one where I could see the focus markers in bright sunlight and without me having to cover the screen all the time. So, pretty basic requirements. The Viltrox seems to be ideal for me, but I think there are lots that would fit the bill. That said, the fairly unique sun cover certainly helped me in my decision making. I do have one worry: Fixing the monitor to the flash shoe. I do wonder if it might strain the show if left on out and about doing wildlife photography. I might look for a bracket or frame or whatever.
