my love hate relationship with wide angled lenses continues ;)

Awesome! Make sure you're carrying a 1-iron with you.

Awesome set, some of those cloud formations are phenomenal.

The plan actually was to get a lighthouse in foreground with bolts behind it.
Storm didnt cooperate and move as expected

Incredible! Just amazing!

another round of storms 24 hours time post more pics? Way different location plan is to get to flat country about 15 miles from range of hills at sunset and get them as they come over. Thats the theory and each time i get slightly better with focus .
Some guys do birds some wildlife some motorsport some street etc etc weve each got our loved topic.

Ok, Photo... assuming that Mr. Farmer is what they called your father (another reference to an old joke, no disrespect intended)... are you taking those photos using a trigger system, not pre-capture, long exposure, or pure dumb luck (Harry Potter reference). I seem to remember a reading a reference to triggers, but I'm too lazy to go back and look and I would appreciate updated info.

So, if you're willing, please share a little more technical info on how you captured these amazing photos.

Btw, I can't decide if my favorite is the fourth because of the colors in the grasses or the fifth because of the power in the sky/clouds/lightning with the affect of their presence in the foreground.

Triggers. Used to use invertalometer/long exposures upgraded to triggers to safe shutter cliks

Take my RP my R6 and wifes R6ii which i claim during storm chases.
Triggers yes but varying exposures from 30 seconds 5 and then a quick one which often results in super sharp image but less dramatic. Other issue with long exposures in storms is wind sometimes 30 seconds doesnt quite work even with sand bags

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...

    Fantastic sport camera
This camera is FANTASTIC. I'm a dog sports shooter, so very fast indoor action with a lot of obstacles to shoot in and around. This camera does a...

A good lens for what it does, with it's drawbacks
I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
