    RF 100-500

The used one we received doesn't appear to be used at all, and it registered as new with Canon and the CarePak went through with no problem. I won't hesitate to purchase used from that store again.

Cone flowers sure are popular with the bees, aren't they?

Nice! And it's $10 off through tomorrow.

    Electronic vs. Mechanical shutter

Again, I'm late to the discussion, but I was doing some low-light, slow-shutter shooting this weekend, and using electronic shutter for the first time in these conditions because the model had a snake we didn't want to stress. In PP, I noticed a lot more noise than usual in some of the images...

    Benro rhino tripod

I like the video, too. The tripod is nice and sturdy. We have the R5 and R6, and the 100-500 as well, although we don't have extenders. I can only imagine the balance issues with that combination. The VX30 ballhead will tend to sag if used in portrait position for extended periods, so I got...

    Topaz DeNoise

This is a heavy crop of a photo taken inside a tunnel with no additional light source. (R6 w/RF 28-70mm f2L)

Canon R5 Anyone using a Speed lite on the R5?

I use a pair of Godox V860IIs with an Xpro trigger.

    Benro rhino tripod

My Benro Rhino does convert to monopod, which I use for flexibility, but I take the ball head off. This limits my angles, of course. I do need to find a good alternative that's not too expensive as I don't use it that often. The ballhead would be fine for just the camera and, say, a 50mm...

They're hard on laws in their larval stage, but they eat mosquitos, so they're okay in my book! My (adult) son is deathly afraid of them, though. He'll remove any and all spiders, but run screaming like a little girl from a harmless crane fly! 😂

Fantastic detail. Crane fly maybe? I've never seen one so close up and personal to tell. LOL

What I have been up to.

Dang. Cut yourself shaving? Seriously, I hope you're on the mend and feeling okay - ish -er. That looks painful as heck.
  18. Siren Rake and His Snake

    Siren Rake and His Snake

Siren is an Atlanta model who wanted some photos done with his granite Burmese python. This was a first for me, but we did it in a busy tourist area downtown and it caused quite a stir. Lots of fun, though!
