I posted a picture of Quarry Rock Falls earlier this year and I was struck by all the layers of falling water. I also thought it would look better with some fall leaves in the trees and laying on the rock, so I went back to get another picture.

This is the lower part of Little Brandywine Falls. The fall leaves are starting to collect on the stone.

I was coming downstream after taking pictures of Brandywine Falls. I just climbed down this smaller waterfall, Little Brandywine Falls, and the sun came out providing this picture.

Brandywine Falls are in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I would have liked to move closer and to the left to get that boulder out of the view, but the landscape right in front of me, which is not in this view, made it impossible without risking myself or equipment so this is as close as I got.

This is a man-made structure that was built to capture silt from Gaulley Run before it provided water to the Ohio-Erie canal. Now it's a picturesque relic from the past.

Shredder Falls is on Brandywine Creek downstream from the more famous Brandywine Falls in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Compared to many other waterfalls these aren't all that "great" but for this otherwise small tributary of the Cuyahoga River they are.

My summer project is to take pictures of waterfalls using neutral density filters in and around the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This one is the inspiration for this project. It is the Quary Rock Falls in the Chagrin Reservation taken in 2024 after a heavy rain.

The R5 is a truly amazing camera. What impresses me most is the image stabilization when the body is paired with an RF lens. I have been able to shoot at slow shutter speeds handheld that I would have never thought possible without a tripod. For landscape photography, this is a huge plus! I...
