Not quite sure what you’re trying to do here. You don’t need high speed drive mode. Single shot is fine. (I use a 2 second self timer for macro shots).


Focus bracketing works with a single shutter button press to take however many shots you’ve told it to take in the “number of shots” parameter, incrementing the focus for each shot. When its done, it takes a bit to chew through all the images.

The focus increment number is determined by sacrificing a chicken and reading the entrails. Here is a handy calculator focus stacking.
