My German "daughter" took us to Rothenburg ob Der Tauber, one of the last German cities where the medieval walls are still intact. You can walk around the city on top of the wall, but we didn't have time to for me to find good photographs from there. The city really deserves a full day to do it justice.
First, underneath the spiral staircase that leads up to the highest tower in town.
Inside the wooden staircase of the tower. Yes, those are my feet. No, this is not the steepest section.
A view of the Marktplatz and the city from the top of the tower.
Houses on the Marktplatz from behind a fountain on the square.
