3. Adds support for the Software Development Assistance Kit (EDSDK/CCAPI).
4. The following issues have been fixed.
4-1. Fixes an issue, in which when SPEEDLITE EL-5, EL-10 is attached, the “Accessory unavailable status” message may be displayed when restarting after the camera has gone into Auto Power Off. (Only occurs with firmware Ver.1.5.0)
4-2. Fixes an issue, in which when performing shooting in high-speed continuous shooting + mode with the [Highlight Tone Priority] option set to [ON], focus may not be achieved when certain ISO speed settings are used.

How to Update the Canon R7 Firmware
Updating the firmware for the Canon R7 is pretty straight forward.
When you download and unzip the firmware it will include a PDF guide on how to install the firmware.
There are two methods described in this guide, we would recommend using the memory card method. You simply copy the firmware to the root directory of a memory card (don’t put it in a folder), then insert into your R7 and run the update from the setup menu.
If you are downloading to a Mac then when you click on the .dmg file it will mount a drive in finder where you will find the files.

Can Canon not do an update to allow other lens to work with Canon R7.
I have a Tamron 18-400 lens and the focus just keeps hunting and does not stop.
To update this lens you need to buy a docking unit at a cost of around NZ$400.
