I’m better with a camera and Photoshop than I am with brushes and paints.

I’d been trying to come up with something for this sunrise photo all week. I took this on Monday, enjoyed doing a long exposure shot, but when I was done in Lightroom, it just didn’t feel done. It needed more and more is Photoshop. I’m still very new to Photoshop but picking things up. I bookmark a lot of YouTube videos and websites. Matt K’s courses have been awesome for learning the ins and outs of the application. For this one, I downloaded some free light ray brushes, watercolor brushes and a white paper texture image. I added the light rays going out through the sky from the sun, and then followed Spoon Graphics’ instructions on creating a watercolor styled image.

I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
