Out for an evening stroll whilst on holiday in Madeira a few weeks ago we unexpectedly came across a display of classic cars on the promenade which were participating in the Volta à Madeira Classic Rally. Participants have to cover some 400 km of sometimes dangerous mountain roads in order to finish the race. The rally is usually held in stages over 2 days. Unfortunately I missed the start of the race itself. I’ve included a few images – not easy to get clear shots owing to onlookers. All images R6 Mk2 + RF24-240mm lens.
