Don’t Forget To Look Down

Most of the time I walk around looking at things that are in my horizontal line of sight, but every now and then I look down, and there’s a whole new world there.

This little centipede can haul butt. I literally had to run after him to get this shot. Fortunately the street we were on wasn’t busy, or we would both be squashed flat.


This is a ventilation grate on a downtown street. The pattern is sort of mesmerizing to me, and this is actually a color photograph.


This is in a wooded area just down from my house, and the fall leaves make a nice contrast with the brown pine straw.


These final two photos are of the brick portion and of the wooden portion of the pier leading out to the community dock at our property in McIntosh County. I have walked over this pier a hundred times, and it occurred to me to look down.

It's good to look for different view at times!
