Not the best work I've done; stiff morning breeze, couldn't use a tripod based on where the web was in the garden; but wanted to post my initial image with the group. Comments and critique welcome.

Are you using the RF100mm f/2.8 L lens? I am expecting mine next week. Have you ever tried Extension Tubes?

Looks sharp to me. Good lighting too.
 
Are you using the RF100mm f/2.8 L lens? I am expecting mine next week. Have you ever tried Extension Tubes?
I used extension tubes when I was shooting Nikon, have not yet tried them on the RF 100mm macro. Extension tubes will get you closer to the subject but your depth of field is reduced. And if you’re taking insect images, most don’t take too kindly to seeing that big black tube so close to them. A trade off, as is everything in this pursuit of ours.
