Zoom Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM

I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera. It's a great little lens with a great zoom range that gives me surprising good quality. My biggest wish is that it would have a better closer minimum focusing range.

I was fully prepared to not really like the Canon EOS RF 24-240mm lens, but I bought one on the used market because a friend was very pleased with it and I respect his opinion. He was right! I've used it on a RP (the garden landscape at 35mm), a R6 (the car tall fin detail at 100mm) and a R6 Mark 2 (my grandson's portrait at 240mm) ... versatile to say the least. Lightroom takes care of all the lens corrections required. I get to travel with one body and one lens. What's not to like?

The lens isn't the top of the line, but works well as a travel lens since it is light weight and has a good reach for most all situations. The vignetting is easily removed in post on all photos when importing. The lens is not as sharp as Canon "L" series lenses, but that also can be alleviated somewhat in post especially with the R5's 45 megapixel files at 16 bit.
