Buttermilk Falls in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I thought this log with mushrooms provided some foreground interest while showing the bottom of the falls in the background.

I liked how the water was cascading over the top of the falls in this telephoto picture.

I was walking back to my car after taking pictures of a waterfall and found these. I forgot to change the aperture to blur the background so I did that in Lightroom.

Compared to many other waterfalls these aren't all that "great" but for this otherwise small tributary of the Cuyahoga River they are.

My summer project is to take pictures of waterfalls using neutral density filters in and around the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This one is the inspiration for this project. It is the Quary Rock Falls in the Chagrin Reservation taken in 2024 after a heavy rain.

I spent some time over the holidays away at a cottage with my family, slinging my R8. Most of the photos I captured were family pics, but I did grab some landscapes on a couple of our walks. I honestly could not love this camera more.
