So has anyone looked at doing abstracts in photography. I went to a workshop with Art Wolfe who has done al kinds of these if you haven't checked out his book and Ted talk on the "Human Canvas" I recommend it. So our field work we went down to the pier in Seattle where a lot of fishing boats dock. We didn't focus on the boats themselves (although we did look at decay as well), the main focus was to shoot the mirror reflection in the water. These where shot at 1/1000-1/2000, F11-F16 with setting the ISO to 4000+ if you want to go out and try it yourself. Here is a link to some of my shots I took:
