American Coot

American Coots are a large waterbird with a dark gray body, black head & neck, white bill, and red eyes. Allaboutbirds.org writes that on land they are "large chicken-like" birds" and their legs and feet are scrawny and yellow-green. They don't have webbing between their toes like ducks but rather folds of skin on each toe that help propel them in water.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
