Canon R1 Any news?

So November the 14th has been and gone (apparently the main shipping date) and other than a few of the usual youtube videos from pre- release units I have seen nothing. Anyone any the wiser as to when we will see them in the wild so to speak

I wouldn't be surprised if they never enter physical shops and can only be bought on-line.

Got one ;-) on it's way soon. . . did I really need it - probably not, did I really want it - more like it lol.
The racing has paid for it so doesn't feel quite so bad, and if I stop after next season - I have a killer body / lens combo that owes me nothing.

I got both of mine on Friday 11/15.

One interesting thing I was NOT prepared for is that the power switch is the exact opposite of my R3s.

I took one of each with me to a gig over the weekend (my usual to ease into a new camera).

Far more times than I'm proud of I:

1. Picked up the asleep R1 and, noticing it was "off" while raising it to my eye to take a shot...turned it off.
2. Chatised myself for shutting off the R1, picked up the asleep R3 and,noticing it was "off" while raising it to my eye to take a shot...turned it off.
3. Lather, rinse, repeat over the course of five hours.
