As big sufferer of Hay Fever, I don't know why I like Macro photography, as I spend most of my time in and around flower.
This day I spent time next to the Lavender taking photos of the many different types of bees which visited. My fav fever was not too bad, the lavender smell was soo good though.

Well done and thank you to everyone who entered and voted in our competition this month. There are certainly some superb macro photographers hanging out here :)
  • Joint 1st place with 11 votes was @AOC with a stunning close-up of a beautiful red eyed tree frog. @Philnick also received 11 votes with his beautiful transparent butterfly. I've certainly not seen one in the UK before!
  • Joint 2nd place with 8 votes was @MSH411 with a very nice shot of a red wood ant. Joining him in 2nd was @Archibald with his shot of a terrific stilt-legged fly with some seriously amazing eyes!
  • Joint 3rd place with 7 votes was @ACEkin with a beautiful Monarch butterfly. @Doug B also came 3rd with a very creepy shot of a flesh fly. I'm certainly glad this was shot with a macro lens! Also in 3rd was @Greensward with a stunning green grasshopper.
The theme for our competition this month will be "Long Exposure" which will be starting shortly.
