The peace and tranquillity of Conwy Marshes was disturbed by a Hercules MC 130-J yesterday. This particular aeroplane is operated by the US Air Force 415th Special Operations Squadron and normally resides in New Mexico.
Conwy marshes? New to me and I'm a local! We do get low flying Herc's now and again as well as the training aircraft for fighter pilots but in years gone by it was the Vulcan bombers on stealth training that not only took your breath away but the noise sent your head trying to descend between your shoulders.

Off Jct 18 on the A55 there is a small car park, ten yards walk and you are on the shore, turn right towards the castle or turn left but you will need a code to get past the RSPB gate.
