Hello Travelers!

I am giving serious considerations to taking a Landscape Photography Workshop, but the flights all seem to have layovers anywhere from 24 to 40+ hours with 2 to 5 stops.
Since Costco Travel is not available I am wondering how do world travelers catch their flights/connecting flights and make sure you don't miss the first day of the workshop?

I know about Travel Insurance and camera gear is only in carry-on luggage...making the flights reservations is what I need most.

Where? Antarctica for a 15 day adventure.

Can't you go to a travel agent? A real agent in a brick-and-mortar office might be best so you can better describe your requirements. With today's frequent delays and missed connections, you might want to arrive a day early to make sure you don't miss the first day of the tour.

Have you taken a look at Google Flights to see what's available?

I agree with Archibald: plan on getting to your location a day early, just in case of a delay. Sadly, I haven't seen a brick-n-motar travel agency in years, though if you could find one it would make a difference in your flight planning. I suppose that you have tried Kayak or one of the other travel sites. It is a load of work to find the "best" flight and, unfortunately, the online sites may be your only alternative. Best of luck.

For my Arctic trip (SAS airline) I booked a day ahead to make sure I arrived in time to get on the boat, and returning I booked an extra day in Norway to get a timely flight out.
