Canon R6 I Burst Mode Like R7?

Among the many things I'm excited for on the R7 is the lag burst mode that picks up images about half a second before you press the shutter fully. Two questions:
1. Is this on the R6 add if not do we see any reason it couldn't be with a firmware update?
2. Does this feature use the mechanical shutter or is it just electronic?

I don't think it's on the R5 or R6, and it's electronic shutter only and reduces the Raw file bit depth. Could it be added? We'll see.
