Canon R6 I Canon R6 Firmware Update 1.5.2

Canon firmware update 1.5.2 is now available for the R6.

Firmware Version 1.5.2 incorporates the following improvements:

1. Enhances the stability of Eye Detection.
2. Enhances AutoFocus tracking when shooting moving subjects.

Firmware Version 1.5.2 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.5.1. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.5.2, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

The firmware can be downloaded from Canon's Support Sites. US / Europe

How do you extract the file? I've downloaded the file and double clicked but nothing happens. Any ideas?

All resolved. You have to go to the finder window and click on the extracted file. Then you can copy to the SD card.

R5 Firmware down loaded and installed. Have done a quick test using a dog photo and it seems to latch onto the eye and hold very well when moving the camera about. Need to check the eye focus on our dog in the garden tomorrow to see if there is any noticeable difference.

A noticeable improvement. Definitely picks up the eye quicker on BBF and keeps with it. Impressed.
