Hi
I've run into this fact only recently, apparently without any reason except tthat I have deactivated any IS stabilization on the camera and also on the lenses.
The camera, after inactive also for few time, goes in a stand-by state (exactly 12 seconds) where the viewfinder appear empty and the shutter is unavailable.
Then, everything goes back normal, and all the command return available. I cannot understand this and maybe I will reset to the factory settings. In the meantime I ask you whether you have encountered such a problem.
Thank You Very Much
Fabio Terrosi

First question, of course, is: "Are you using firmware version 1.5.0?"

Have you checked Power saving settings? Read the Notes section.
