The latest firmware for the Canon R8 is now 1.2.0

Firmware Version 1.2.0 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes:

1. Adds support for RF-S10-18mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens.
2. Fixes minor issues.

If the camera’s firmware is already Version 1.2.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

The firmware can be downloaded from Canon's Support Sites. US / Europe

It looks like it's only available on the US download site at present which is odd since it was released almost 2 weeks ago now.
