Birds Cardinal

From last weekend walk. Mating season had begun, and male cardinals were actively chasing females, so much so that they paid little attention to my close presence.

Some lovely soft colours in the shot and the composition is excellent imo as far as the size of the bird in the frame is concerned. Too many times I see examples of avian wildlife photography were the presented image is hung up on fine detail and a small bird ends up looking like a turkey in a cage with no where to move. I have probably done it myself too!!
