Even after taking a swab to it? If it has been there for a bit I know that the heat from the sensor can "bake" in on and it would require a second cleaning.

In Lightroom, set the Dehaze to 100% and post the same photo.

Haven't swabbed it yet. They are on order & should arrive Wednesday.

Annnd I don't do Lightroom. What would be similar to Dehaze in DXO or Topaz?

Hi Craig,

1. Tip - remember the dirt on the sensor will be 'upside down' compared to the image (i.e. the dust spec will be at the top of the sensor as you look at it).

2. The LrC 'Dehaze' equivalent in DxO is 'DxO ClearView Plus'.

3. Good luck...

:)

So if my discount swabs have a label that says 'This End Up', I should disregard, correct?
Should you be right handed make sure to order a right handed swab. In case you are left handed call them and tell them: "Houston Houston I have a problem here!" Nah, just kidding, but couldn't resist! :)

Clean Z8 sensor. Much better!

It took (2) separate swipes with a clean swab to totally eradicate the stubborn spot at the 0600 position, but its gone. Yea for me!

Good thing, too... I was ready to break out my Dremel!
