Excited to be getting the 100-500!

Just got the call today from Hunts Camera that they are getting a delivery of 100-500's and my name came up. I was surprised since I was #152 on this list but did a little happy dance. Now I have to wait until after Thankgiving to pick it up since it will get to the store when I will be out hiking in the mountains.

It's an amazing lens. Safe hiking, you'll want to make sure you're 100% ready to use it when you get back.

Picked up the lens yesterday evening when we got back and took it out in the yard today despite snow and dank conditions.
With a little help from DxO PrimeRaw to calm the ISO 12500 blues I was very happy with the lens performance. No BIF photos but plenty at the feeders and on the ground.
