My daughter in law asked me to take some family portraits as all the kids were home for this weekend before Christmas. Used the Christmas tree in their house as a background. Not a great shot but one that records the day. Then remembered a photo I took of them 15 years ago in 2009 just before Christmas. So here is new and old, the new shows an extended family with their kid's spouses and now they have grandchildren.

New shot - Canon R6 MkII with RF 24-105mm
Old shot - Canon 5D with EF 28-105mm which was a pretty crappy lens as I recall.

It is amazing how the family grows ...not the height and width, but quantity!

With our family it's the parent's missing and being replaced with S.O.'s and grandkids. No more big sit down dinners.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
