Reptiles Fer de Lance snake

The Fer de Lance is a much-feared snake. This one was sitting on the bank of a small stream waiting to ambush little critters coming for a drink. Costa Rica.

Yeah... this is by an eco lodge and the folks there have observed the snake basically always being in the same place. So it seems to pose little threat.
