I think there'll be quite a few of us looking forward to your report. I've fiddled with Fv a couple of times and, you've guessed it, given up.

errr thats my gut feel as well

I use FV when capturing birds in flight, or on any moving subject. Also tried the P mode which allows control of 2 out of 3 of the triangle, takes a bit of getting used to. Always good to experiment, helps you get the most from your kit.

Using M i guess is intuitive innate which dials are for what not second guessing. Struggling with FV but guess its habit

I have preferences set for the three programmable setups - C1 is bird, C2 is fast bird, C3 is for what the heck was that?

I've used Fv but prefer manuals with close guesses set in each of the programs. I'm a little older and my muscle memory is very hard to retrain.

The other day on my morning walk I took my 100-500mm set in Fv primed for some wild bunnies (f7.1 ~ auto ~ auto).

I missed the bunnies, however I did have 10 seconds to switch from MF to AF and snap this shot
