I wanted to write a review for an accessory, but I could not find a button to create a new review thread. I could only write reviews for items already reviewed.

Thanks for asking Marshall. Unfortunately at present only admins can create new review items which members can then leave multiple reviews on. I am considering opening it up so that members can create review items themselves, but I want to try and avoid duplicate reviews items being created. So I need to have a think about the best way to implement that. If you let me know which accessory you want to review then I can create the item for you this time until I've figured out a better solution.

I want to review the book, "Understanding the Canon EOS R5," by Nina Bailey. It is a fantastic reference no matter your skill level, from beginner to ultra-advanced. I might also review DxO PhotoLab 6, but that would be later.

If i may say, all Nina's books are good and well worth a read.

That, and all the camera/lens reviews here seem pretty superficial and not useful.
Great camera!
Super autofocus!
Excellent image quality!

I know people mean well, but we can’t replace DPReview with user posts.

So I thought I’d write a review that could be truly helpful.

I agree with Mark’s comments about Nina’s books being well worth a read. I find her R6 book extremely helpful and also have a couple of her “How to” guides.

I've added an education category to the reviews now and you'll find a new item there for the ebook:

You should hopefully be able to see the "write a review" button near to the top of the page. Let me know if you don't.

The reviews here are user reviews and not in-depth editorial reviews like you'll find over on DPReview. I guess a lot of members are happy with their purchases so far :) Of course, overtime I'd expect to see more critical reviews being published as well.

Thank you for writing the eBook review, it does look like a helpful resource.
