People I came upon a wandering minstrel while shooting abandoned mental hospital

On a photo road trip stopped to shoot dilapidated buildings at the abandoned Northern State Mental Hospital (WA state) and heard soft music emanating from within. Found this gentleman playing guitar and chatted with him for a while.

His mother had once been a patient at the facility and he would come by to try and have a connection with her memory. I am not generally a portrait shooter, but I like the way this came out.

While some claim the place to be haunted, I wasn’t worried. It was mid-day and good weather. Once I heard the music, I was determined to find the source. LOTS of buildings and individual rooms, stalls, etc.
