Canon Fittest F1DXL L-bracket for Canon 1D series cameras.

L-plate for For Canon 1DX body - $40

Custom made one-piece bracket machined from light weight 6061T651 Aluminum
Black anodized, sealing it against corrosion and abrasion
Provides anchor point for optional neck or hand strap
Allows full access to all cable interface
Arca-Style Dovetail on Both Segments, has 4 safety stop screws

Smallrig 3628 L-bracket for Canon R3 $40

1. Arca-compatible side plate and base plate enable quick switch between horizontal and vertical orientation shooting.
2. Secured via a 1/4 screw and an anti-twist screw at the bottom.
3. Replace the battery without removing the L-Bracket.
4. Extendable side plate leaves room for cables.
5. Built-in mounting ports, such as 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16 threaded holes, wrist strap holes, satisfy the multi-scene shooting.
6. Built-in magnetic slotted screwdriver for easy disassembly and assembly.

List $69. Used once and decided for an alternative plate. $40. I do have the box for this as well if desired.

Curious to what bracket you ended up with for your R3?

Also, any update on your battery life?

I still have both of these which work, but are not my favorite. IF I sold both I would buy the Sunwayfoto which I think is the best designed.

No updates on battery life. Cannot imagine what I could be doing so different than others who claim multiples of what I experience.
