Are there any nuances to using mirrorless in cold weather? I never had many issues with a DSLR but am wondering if mirrorless have any 'sensitivities' to major temperature changes.

I haven’t had any issues in our southern Alberta winter weather. I have had mine out in the cold for an hour at a time and have had no issues.

I shot my R for a few hours 2.5-3 this winter in the low teens one night during the meteor shower. I've always heard horror stories about battery life, but it did quite well shooting almost constantly. I've seen and heard of people putting "hot hands" packs on the underside of the camera to help with battery life, but never have tried it and likely won't.

This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
