Hi All. this is my first image posted to this forum. A week or so ago my wife and I went to an area west of Rochester NY known for roosting owls during their migration. Of course owls, especially the small northern saw-whets are hard to find and see as the hide among the branches of spruce trees. When branches get in the way you can always crop tightly to get head portraits. The flexibility of high megapixel cameras allows this. The full body image of this beauty was mostly covered by branches – cropped into the portrait presentation. R5 with 100-500 @ 400.
