Hi there,

I'm configuring my new R6m2 and was wondering if it's OK to just leave anti-flicker shooting on all the time? I don't shoot indoor venues much right now, but would like to set and forget this just in case. I see no reason why it would impact normal shooting for street, outdoor portraits, etc., but wanted to ask anyway.

Thanks!

I assume you are speaking of both Anti-flicker and HF Anti-flicker. There are too many variables that may or may not cause problems.

Read CAUTIONS pages: 207, 208, 212, and 214, along with NOTES on pages 207 and 212.

The next step it they each shooting scenario and evaluate if it conflicts with your shooting style.

How's that for a yes or no answer?

.... Otherwise known as a definite possibility of an absolute maybe.

I think if you aren't shooting around areas that are lit by LED or florescent lights then it's not necessary.

I use it when I'm shooting indoors on stages with LED lighting, like my daughter's dance recitals. Without it you see the banding on the cyc backdrops.
