One that may be of interest to some people - a pied, or partly leucistic, blackbird seen in Hartshill Country Park, Warwickshire, England.

The condition is a defect in the cells that give birds their coloured plumage - as I understand it, they are usually lacking the dark element of melanin and it's uncertain whether this is genetic or not.

As for rarity, I'm not sure this is known (or knowable), but I've seen one source cite it as 1 in 30,000. Who knows, but what a little cutie.
