Pileated Woodpecker at Big Branch Marsh NWR in Lacombe, LA
One of the first photos with my R5. This was on Saturday before Hurricane Ida and that’s the last day I’ve been able to shoot since the Hurricane. I’ve had to temporarily relocate out of state due to the hurricane as we’ve lost power, water, Internet, and no services (food, gas, etc.) were available. Hope to get back soon and start shooting again.

What a great first photo with your R5. I would love to have a 600 lens - this photo makes me want to dig deeper. LOL Very sad to see all the destruction from Ida. I hope you are able to return home safely soon.

Thanks so much. Hopefully we’ll be able to go back in a week or so. Gas is still hard to find and we don’t have Internet or water yet.

That is a great first photo! I hope you are safe and sound and can get home soon. Hopefully things will look up for you and all of the people down there and who were affected by the storm.
